The RB Africa Katberg Skytrail is a 35 km trail run at 1000 - 1600 m above sea level through pristine wilderness.
The route is specifically cleared for the event and starts with a gentle trot across the Katberg Game Reserve, leading to single track through indigenous forest, up the contoured forestry road to a final climb up a rocky path to the cliff face where runners pause to take in the breathtaking scenery. From there runners traverse the mountain face before the descent winding down the rocky Kat Pass jeep track.
Hot showers, a cosy pub, race banter and great Eastern Cape hospitality await runners at the end.
